Precautions Before Use of a Sensitivity-relief Product
If you experience regular sensitivity in your teeth – each time you eat or drink something sour, or take in a breath of cold air – your first course of action is to visit your dentist. What is Relief ACP?
The “ACP” in the product name stands for “amorphous calcium phosphate,” a proprietary blend from Philips Oral Healthcare that is designed to provide safe relief to sensitive teeth. Relief ACP is primarily included in other Zoom take-home products, such as Nite White and Day White whitening kits, though it is available for purchase on its own. The active ingredients in the gel are:
- Potassium nitrate (5%) – provides the instant sensitivity relief
- ACP & Fluoride – rebuild tooth enamel
Instructions for Use
Prior to Use
- Brush and floss your teeth thoroughly
- Keep gel away from eyes
- Do not swallow gel
Application
There are two methods of application:
Tray Method –
- Use at most 1/4 of a syringe’s gel per use.
- Place trays in mouth, and remove any gel outside of the tray with a Q-tip or cotton swab
- Wear the trays for around 30 minutes
- Remove trays and spit out any excess gel
- Do not eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes
Brush Method –
- Use a soft toothbrush
- Apply a line of gel to the toothbrush, like you would for toothpaste
- Brush gel onto teeth
- Spit out excess gel
- Do not eat, drink, or rinse for 30 minutes
